Do you have a business that would benefit by directly marketing to thousands of people with sleep disorders, chronic illness or lifestyle factors that cause excessive daytime sleepiness?

Our current website has had over 218,400 (10/9/16) unique visits since it was launched in March 2013, that’s almost 200 visits a day. We are working on a new purpose built website that will be designed to reach even more people!

We are inviting organisations and relevant businesses to either donate or for just a small fee of $250 become our official sponsors. While Hypersomnolence Australia is a Charity, our fund-raising philosophy is one of mutual benefit, not a hand out.

The benefits of our $250.00 annual official sponsorship include;

Official Sponsorship is Tax deductible

Hypersomnolence Australia is a registered Not for Profit Health Promotion Charity with full DGR Item 1 status. All donations are tax deductible.

*Annual sponsorship will officially commence on the launch of our new website and will run for 12 months from that date. However we will include your logo and link on our current website until our new website is up and running. Shout outs on our social media will also start immediately and continue until the end of the 12 months with our new website. This means we would be actively promoting your business for at least 16 months from the time you become an official sponsor. So for as little as $15 a month you will have the opportunity to directly market your business and at the same time support a tax deductable charity.

If you would like to become an official sponsor we would proudly support your business. If you would prefer to donate a smaller amount we would greatly appreciate that too as every bit helps!

Donations can be made via our chuffed.org campaign or direct through our ANZ bank account in the name of: Hypersomnolence Australia BSB: 014286 AC: 210329584

Or through our PayPal account: hypersomnolenceaustralia@gmail.com

Who is Hypersomnolence Australia and what do we do?

Hypersomnolence Australia was initially established to exclusively support the neurological sleep disorder Idiopathic Hypersomnia however we have come to realise that not everyone diagnosed with Idiopathic Hypersomnia actually has Idiopathic Hypersomnia. We also know that there are people that may have Idiopathic Hypersomnia but who also have other problems (that they may or may not be aware of) that make managing their Idiopathic Hypersomnia symptoms much more difficult.

There are many people that struggle everyday to stay awake and alert, not all of them have Idiopathic Hypersomnia however many of them find their way to Hypersomnolence Australia looking for advice and support because there really isn’t a lot out there for people that experience excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia. Therefore we know that the work we do is vital to not just people with Idiopathic Hypersomnia, but also to people with Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea and other causes of excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia.

Hypersomnolence Australia provides information and support to people all over the world but we have desperately outgrown the capabilities of our current website so we are struggling to keep up with the demand. Our plan is to work with website developers to create a purpose built website. Our goal is to provide much needed advice and information. This will include information pertaining to employment, school and education, support services, grief and psychological resilience, health and wellbeing, family and relationships, advice on how to make lifestyle adjustments and other lifestyle tips to help make the most of managing life with Idiopathic Hypersomnia as well as general excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia. It will also include up to date information on research, treatment options and links to relevant medical information.

We will be working with a variety of health care professionals to ensure we provide a broad range of quality information.  We also plan on working with professionals to put together an information brochure with the aim to distribute them to relevant doctors and health care professionals and patients.

Hypersomnolence Australia are concerned at the standard of care that we see patients with excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia receive so while our primary goal is to change the prognosis for people suffering from idiopathic hypersomnia we are also determined to see improvements made with regards to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients who suffer from all forms of excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia, regardless of the cause.
